iPadPicturesInformation about iPadiPad is a notebook PC (tablet) from Apple, which was launched 27 Jan. 2010 (3 years ago) by Steve Jobs at a press conference in the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco. PC is equipped with touch screen and supports WLAN (802.11n) and Bluetooth, in addition to built-in 3G support for some of the models. The device is based on M2M communication over cellular. iPad will be able to run most applications available in Apple's App Store. There have also been simultaneously launched a program called the iBook to be able to run on the iPad. This is an e-book player like Amazon's Kindle and you buy books from the iBook Store, which delivers books in the Epub format.The device has a backlit LED screen measuring 25 cm (diagonal) with XGA resolution. It does not support multitasking. HistoryApple's development of a tablet computer began with the Newton MessagePad 100, first introduced in 1993 (20 years ago). This effort led to the creation of the ARM6 processor core with Acorn Computers. Apple also developed a prototype PowerBook Duo-based tablet computer, the PenLite, but did not sell it to avoid hurting MessagePad sales. Apple released several more Newton-based PDAs, and discontinued the last in the line, the MessagePad 2100, in 1998 (15 years ago).By late 2009 (4 years ago), the iPad's release had been rumored for several months with iSlate and iTablet among speculated names. The product was announced on Jan. 27, 2010 (3 years ago), at an Apple press conference at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco.
