The Suzuki Kizashi is an upcoming mid-size car from Suzuki.

Concept Kizashi Series (2007-2008)
Concept Kizashi series was developed by Suzuki's Advanced Design Group to reflect a dynamic athlete in motion, taking design cues from a strong, honed physique while displaying the performance, strength and style befitting a flagship vehicle.

The first Kizashi concept was designed to demonstrate Suzuki's progress toward the development of a vehicle that combines sportiness, style and substance. As the first concept in the Kizashi series, the vehicle's dynamic exterior was specifically developed to push the envelope and establish the overall design theme of the series.

It included 2L 4-valve turbo diesel engine, sequential 6-speed transmission, 21-inch aluminium alloy wheels, AWD.

Concept Kizashi was unveiled in 2007 (11 years ago) Frankfurt Motor Show.

The second Kizashi concept was a 5-door crossover sport wagon aims at drivers with dynamic lifestyles and can accommodate a wide range of activities. It included a 3,564 cc (3.564 L; 217.5 cu in) V6 engine, 6-speed automatic transmission, i-AWD, 265/45ZR22 tires.

Concept Kizashi 2 was unveiled in 2007 (11 years ago) Tokyo Motor Show.

Concept Kizashi 3
The third Kizashi concept is an AWD vehicle that includes a 3,564 cc (3.564 L; 217.5 cu in) V6 engine rated 300 hp, 6-speed automatic transmission, 21-inch aluminium wheels with 255/30ZR21 tires.

Concept Kizashi 3 was unveiled in 2008 (10 years ago) New York auto show.

Production

The Kizashi will be the late successor to the GM Daewoo built Suzuki Verona. It was officially unveiled at a World War II memorial in suburban Detroit on Jul. 30, 2009 (9 years ago). Suzuki planned to introduce the Kizashi at the 2009 (9 years ago) New York International Auto Show, but due to mishaps, did not.

Production will start in late 2009 (9 years ago) in Sagara, Japan. The car will be available on either a front-wheel drive or an all wheel drive platform developed by Suzuki. Its only engine at introduction will be a 2.4 liter 4-cylinder, although a V6 is planned. A hybrid variant is also in development.
