Biography for Alexander SkarsgårdAlexander Johan Hjalmar Skarsgård (born Aug. 25, 1976 (37 years ago)) is a Swedish actor and director. He is the son of Swedish actor Stellan Skarsgård and the brother of actor Gustaf Skarsgård (born 1980 (33 years ago)).Personal lifeSkarsgård was born in Stockholm, Sweden. He has acted in several Swedish TV series and movies and served in the Swedish Marines. In 2003 (10 years ago) he was nominated for a Guldbagge for male supporting role in the movie Hundtricket - The Movie.Since 2005 (8 years ago), with his performances in Revelations and The Last Drop, he has taken part in international productions. In 2007 (6 years ago) he played one of the main characters, Sgt. Brad Colbert, in the American miniseries Generation Kill. He is an original member of the ensemble cast of HBO's TV drama series True Blood. Skarsgård plays the role of Eric Northman, the local vampire sheriff and owner of Fangtasia, a vampire bar. In 2009 (4 years ago), Skarsgård appeared in the music video for pop singer Lady Gaga's "Paparazzi". He also has three upcoming movies currently in post-production, Metropia, Beyond the Pole He is scheduled to star in the upcoming thriller, Straw Dogs, along with Kate Bosworth (17 walls) and James Marsden. It is a remake of the 1971 (42 years ago) movie. Filming is set to begin in Aug. 2009 (4 years ago).
