Brooklyn Decker (born in Kettering, Ohio) is an American fashion model best known for her appearances in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition. She married tennis player Andy Roddick at a private ceremony in Austin, Texas on Apr. 17, 2009 (12 years ago). She reported on the Dan Patrick Show (Aug. 3, 2009 (12 years ago)) that her birthday is in April, not August.

Early years

Decker and her family moved to Middletown, Ohio, then to Matthews, North Carolina, where she was discovered in a shopping mall as a teenager. Her parents both work in the medical field—her father works with pacemakers, and her mother is a nurse. Decker attended Butler High School in Matthews, North Carolina.

Decker began her modeling career as the face of Mauri Simone, a popular prom dress maker. She won the 2003 (18 years ago) Model of the Year award at the Connections Model and Talent Convention.

In 2005 (16 years ago), within two months of moving to New York City, Decker auditioned for the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition, in which she first appeared in 2006 (15 years ago). She was again featured in the 2007 (14 years ago) edition, also hosting the 2007 (14 years ago) behind-the-scenes TV special, and returned to the magazine for a third consecutive time in 2008 (13 years ago). In 2007 (14 years ago), she had a recurring feature on the CNN/SI website called "She Says, Z Says," along with Paul Zimmerman, discussing NFL football games of the week. Decker also appeared in the 2007 (14 years ago) made-for-TV Lipshitz Saves the World. She worked for a period in Australia. She joined the cast of Sports New York to discuss the upcoming NCAA basketball tournament. In 2008 (13 years ago), Decker rang the Stock Exchange bell with other Sports Illustrated models.

Decker is represented by Click Model Management and Marilyn Agency.

Decker made a guest appearance on NBC's Chuck, where she played a model applying to be a Buy More Girl.

She will be making a guest appearance on USA Network's Royal Pains on Jul. 30, 2009 (12 years ago). Decker plays swimsuit model Rachel, while Peter Jacobson will play Alan, her nebbishy hubby.

On the Jul. 2, 2009 (12 years ago), episode of the The Dan Patrick Show, show blogger McLovin' mentioned that Decker may be making guest appearances approximately every three weeks on the show, in conjunction with the show moving to new studios and being simulcast on DirecTV.
