She is perhaps best known for her role of Greta Matthews on the CW TV show, Hidden Palms.Heard's breakthrough came in the 2008 (13 years ago) movie Never Back Down, this was soon followed by the successful comedy Pineapple Express which garnered her more fame. She also played the lead role (and title character) in All The Boys Love Mandy Lane (2008, 13 years ago), which debuted at the Toronto International movie Festival in 2006 (15 years ago). She also had a small role in the horror-comedy Zombieland (3 walls) (2009, 12 years ago), which is the most successful picture (wallpaper) to date that she has appeared in, and in The Stepfather. She will co-star alongside Johnny Depp (9 walls) in The Rum Diary (2010, 11 years ago). CareerOnce in Los Angeles, Heard made appearances in various TV shows. The show ended on Jul. 4, two weeks prior than originally planned. She was next cast in the title role in All the Boys Love Mandy Lane. Her father David is a contractor and her mother Paige is an Internet researcher for the state. She attended St. Michael's Catholic Academy in Austin until her junior year, when she left to pursue a career in Hollywood. As a teenager Heard was active in her school's drama department and appeared in local commercials and campaigns. At the age of 16 her best friend died in a car crash and Heard, who was raised Catholic, subsequently declared herself an atheist.
